The company has officially announced that the much-awaited 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift will debut on February 20, 2026. 1. Sharper Styling & Enhanced Connectivity
Adopting Tata’s evolving “New DNA” design language, the refreshed Punch EV will feature a more aggressive front fascia. While the signature split LED headlamp setup will continue, the rear is expected to receive a major update with connected LED tail lamps. Redesigned front and rear bumpers, along with new aerodynamically styled alloy wheels, will further differentiate it from the outgoing model.
2. Segment-First Level 2 ADAS
One of the biggest highlights of the facelift could be the introduction of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). If confirmed, the Punch EV would become the first micro-SUV in India to offer features such as:

Battery, Range & Performance
The 2026 Punch EV will continue to be built on Tata’s proven Acti.ev architecture. The current 25kWh (Medium Range) and 35kWh (Long Range) battery packs are expected to remain on offer. However, industry reports hint at a possible introduction of a larger 40.5kWh battery pack, which could push the ARAI-certified driving range beyond 450–500 km. If true, this would significantly enhance its practicality as a primary family car for longer journeys.
Expected Price & Competition
The current Punch EV is priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). With the addition of ADAS and premium tech features, the facelifted version could see a price hike of around ₹30,000 to ₹50,000, depending on the variant.
Once launched, the updated Punch EV will continue to compete with the Citroën eC3 and the upcoming Hyundai Inster EV, while also serving as an electric alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
